This ‘Garden City of the Gulf’ boasts green boulevards, lush gardens and parks. Wander the six-kilometre-long Corniche and admire the view of the Arabian Gulf and pristine beaches. Abu Dhabi offers historic sights, luxury hotels, as well as premium pop concerts from the likes of Madonna, Coldplay and Elton John.

Less busy than Dubai, which is only 90 minutes away by car, the city is ideal for family getaways. For adventure, try sand-skiing among the desert’s rolling dunes, or watch a lively camel race. Helicopter city tours and desert hot air balloon rides are also available.

Visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – the largest mosque in UEA. Admire the 15-metre high chandelier, one of the world’s largest. Or for an utterly luxurious experience, visit or stay at the iconic Emirates Palace.

Explore the bustling souks or take a trip to one of Abu Dhabi’s islands including Sir Bani Yas Island, which is home to one of Arabia’s largest wildlife reserves with free-roaming animals including gazelles, giraffes and cheetahs.
