Ancient architecture, 5,000 miles of sandy beaches, green hills populated with vineyards and meandering olive groves... welcome to Italy...
Originally a 16th century palazzo, the majestic Villa d’Este is set on the shore of Lake Como. Exuding an air of magic and intrigue, the hotel is set in stunning 25 acres of beautiful Renaissance gardens with period statues. The stately charm is only enhanced with the interior’s rich silk brocade, fine linens and oil paintings.
Built in 1568, the Villa d’Este is steeped in history. The former playground of an empress, English queen and nobility, you are promised a memorable experience. Also a member of the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’, the hotel exceeds expectations of a luxury break.
The heritage architecture has been wonderfully preserved - the guest rooms and suites are no exception. Each is unique, but all have silks, oil paintings, antique furniture, and lake and garden vistas. The Cardinal Building and Queen’s Pavilion house the air-conditioned accommodation.
Indulge in Italian fine dining at the two restaurants, or enjoy light lunches at the Sundeck.
The Villa d'Este Beauty Centre provides the perfect excuse to unwind in a serene environment. Children between three and eight are kept amused with the Children’s Club.
This hotel reopens on March 6th 2013.
